I developed this beaver lure formula over 15 years ago and now that trappers are targeting beaver again I’ve decided to add it to my lure line. Castor based with sweet undertones. This was always my go to beaver lure on the Susquehanna River back when ‘rats were $15 and the muskrat and beaver season overlapped. A castor based attractant was probably the first “lure” created by trappers and was used widespread by the mountain men in their quest for beaver plews. For use on all furbearers attracted to castor.
